The most stand out audition of the show was that of 47 year old Susan Boyle.

Susan first appeared with Ant and Dec declaring that she is a single woman who lives with her cat. Not only has she never been married but she also admitted that she had never even been kissed.

Susan looked like your typical batty old aunt, gold dress and all and when she walked on to stage you could just feel the scorn of the audience. Simon Cowell didnt look too hopeful when Susan said she wanted to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige and when she said she would be singing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.

But then Susan sang and the amazement of the crowd was clear. It was the type of audition that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck and the tears well in your eyes,

It certainly had that effect on Amanda Holden. Piers Morgan called the performance stunning and Simon told Susan she was a little tiger. She seemed a bit baffled by the description.

Annual Gathering 2

Malamnya kita ngadain acara...
mulai dari lomba karaoke, group performance, best dress..
gw iseng2 ikutan lomba karaoke...
karena desakan temen2 (halaaaah)..

Karena keterbatasan pengetahuan gw atas lagu2 Melayu (karena kebanyakan lagu2 lama dan lagu2 rock yang gue gak pernah denger.. Kalaupun ada lagu2 Siti Nurhaliza.. nggak mungkin lah yaw, hehehe), gw akhirnya nyanyi lagu barat.

Ada sih lagu Indonesia... Tapi BROERY semua...
Udah suara gw kayak kerbau melenguh, nggak hapal lagunya, gw takut nanti dia bangkit dari kuburnya, hehehe...
Mending berpijak ke alam nyata aja deh...
yang gampang2 aja.. :-)

Tadinya gw mau nyanyiin lagunya Peabo Bryson yang "Why Goodbye" (....)
Akhirnya setelah menyadari hakikat kalau suara pas2an dan pitch hancur berat, pilihan dijatuhkan kepada lagu "Nothing Gonna Change My Love For You" (tetep....)

Dan setelah bersusah payah dengan nada2 tinggi diiringi suara asthma (hahaha) nggak nyangka gw menang juara ke-2 :-p

Hadiahnya lumayan...

Annual Gathering

Hari Sabtu, 24 Januari 2009, kantor gw ngadain the Annual Gathering di Cherating.
Jam 8am kita kumpul di kantor, dan seperti biasa gw telat hehehe..
Gw sampai jam 8.30am. Sambil nunggu persiapan bus, gw nge-puff dulu :-)

Sampai di Cherating jam 2pm...

Lambat dari jadwal, karena bus jalan perlahan...

Sampai di lobby, check in...

Sambil nunggu kamar siap, nge-puff lagi hehehe...

Setelah itu kita makan di coffee shop.. buffet..

And as usual.. i eat like a pig hahaha...

Tengok laa badan.. dah cam cik bi :-p

After that, we went to the beach...

We played beach volley ball (best giler!) and beach soccer (best giler babi!!)

We really had fun and great time there..
As our motto: work hard and play hard :-) kita gila2an disana..

Like Dr Azman said: NO RULES! hahahaha..

The memorable time

5 months ago I went to Kota Bharu (Kelantan) for a short visit to meet my friend there..

And it was the first time I ate the kelantanese food...

The food was soooooo great..

I love the nasi kerabu and ayam percik..

But amongst all BUDU is the best... Just love it from the very first sip hehehe..

Very juicy, flavorsome, tasty...

Too bad I didn't take the picture of budu.. which now is registered in my fave food's list hehehe...

AUSTRALIA

Kegiatan yang pertama kali gue lakukan di tahun 2009 ini adalah nonton AUSTRALIA sama temen gw: SAFUAN GHAZALI.
Tiba2 aja gitu pengen nonton, hehehe..
Tadinya gue pikir film ini ngebosenin, karena lama banget jam tayangnya.
Hampir 3 jam!!

Tapi gw salah besar...
Filmnya bagus banget...
Touchy.. and I got the point from this film (buat gw aja sih kayaknya, hahaha)
Bahwa cinta tidak harus memiliki (sigh....)

Thanks to Safuan for asking me to watch this movie with him..
